Software Logic

  • FRONT-END WEBSITE CALLER

    The script at your front-end website that calls the calculator will pass a variable called "view" and it will specify the initial view to print at the site (Text, Lite, Full or Extended). Customers are able to expand views, if you have specified the 'Expand' drop-down.

  • INTRODUCING A NEW WEBSITE INVENTORY PRICING METHOD

    Which of these two prices can quickly encourage a car shopper to think: "Yeah! I can afford that car." (is it the full price [e.g. $10,000] of the car regardless of how inexpensive or the monthly payment [e.g. $650] of the car regardless of how expensive)? It is the monthly payment because it represents a smaller number that the mind can easily accept in term of financial obligations.

    Therefore, we can all agree that showing Monthly Payments as the larger numbers next to vehicle listings can potentially encourage more shoppers to express easily interest in more vehicles. At the writing of this page (1/20/2010), iSmartTools has the only Smart CALCULATOR (with a front-end customer view and a back-end dealer tool) available to the auto industry to make this technology a reality. Car shoppers can now search car dealer websites in terms of 'Monthly Payments' rather than price/MSRP. See example below:
